Our Story
Pilar and Bobak (co-founders of Debut) met while working at Prolific Interactive, a strategy-led mobile agency. Their shared passion for building inclusive and diverse spaces led to them realizing how underfunded Black, Latinx, and Indigenous Founders are. Seeing this as an opportunity, Debut was born with the core values of good vibes, honesty, value, and partnership.
Two words that I would describe Debut: committed & trustworthy. They have a genuine interest in seeing Black, Latinx, and Indigenous founders succeed and supporting them in making the impact they envision.

Liberate
As founders and operators, we know what it’s like to run a business.

Building something from nothing is not an easy task. It takes a great team to achieve your vision. Our goal is to be a team member.

Over the last 12 years, we’ve launched over 100 products for companies like Rent The Runway, ModCloth, Gap, Sephora, American Express, and SoulCycle. Many of the products we launched were rated 5 stars and generated hundreds of millions in revenue. With this experience, we want to help our portfolio think through their product strategy, design, and tech stack early in the process.
